Well Enough Alone is a bluegrass band based in Dublin city. They play a mixture of traditional bluegrass songs, fast instrumentals and contemporary songs including a few originals written by vocalist and guitar player Hugh Taggart. Luke Coffey brings his fierce banjo playing and piercing vocals to the band. Filling out the low-end of the musical scale -- as well as providing a solid bluegrass foundation -- is Niall Hughes on bass-fiddle and baritone vocals. Niall happens to also be a one of the best bluegrass flatpickers on the island. The role of mandolin belongs to Chicago native Martin McWhorter who plays a clean traditional bluegrass style while holding town the off beat.
The band has released their debut album which received airplay on RTE. Keep a look out for thier followup. They have played a lot of venues in Dublin and around the country including The Cobblestone, The Button Factory, Athy Bluegrass Festival, Westport Bluegrass Festival, Dunmore East Bluegrass Festival, and many more. You can look forward to a high-energy show with a tasty blend of the old and new. Individually they have shared the stage with the likes of Danny Paisley, Ronnie Stoneman and Frank Wakefield. Together they are unstoppable.
